5 Songs I Love W/ HEBE

Following the release of her beautiful, delicate new single 'Drink On My Own', singer-songwriter HEBE showcases her emotive indie-folk style with an air of elegant simplicity with subtle intricacies. Released ahead of her new album Release Resolution the track offers an exciting look at the stunning soundscapes and silky vocals that can be expected on the full release.

Not satisfied with just HEBE's hypnotic folk sound, we wanted to dig a little deeper and asked her for five of her all time faves. Over to HEBE:

Phoebe Bridgers - Garden Song

“And when your skinhead neighbor goes missing

I'll plant a garden in the yard then

They're gluing roses on a flatbed

You should see it, I mean thousands”

Her lyrics are so visual and on point..Also the sound of the guitars in this song..pff incredible. This whole record is amazing.

Basement Jaxx - Good Luck

I used to dance in my room with this song blasting through the speakers. My parents had the singles album on cd and I went to see them live when I turned 18 at the Lowlands festival. The rhythm and lyrics of this song make me feel so strong and empowered!

Whitney Houston - Your love is my love

I sang this song on my school talent show when I was 14. I was so in love with this song and Whitney in general, her voice is insane and I’ve tried to copy all her ad libs in all of her songs (watched The Bodyguard like 20 times). Right this moment getting lost in her music again, playing ‘I Have Nothing’ now, an amazing song as well..

Khruangbin - White Gloves

Only recently discovered this band. I first fell in love with their most famous song ‘Texas Sun’ and started listening more and more to their other songs. I really like listening to their music while driving. The vibe is really laid back and cool, but keeps your attention every moment. (Plus The bass player is so cool<3)

Bon Iver - 29 #Strafford APTS

I always have to mention Bon Iver, he has been such an inspiration for me and my music. So I can't leave him out in a list of favourites. I can’t really hear what he’s singing in this song, but somehow the melody and way of singing touches my heart so deeply. I’m a huge Bon Iver fan, I saw him live at Best Kept Secret Festival, the sun was setting and it was completely quiet the entire show.
