5 Songs I Love w/ Mikaila Murphy

Detroit artist Mikaila Murphy has fused together her dance expertise with her musical talents in the video for her new track 'Float'. You can watch the video below but first, check out some of Mikaila's favourite tracks and find out what she's all about!

1. BANKS - 'You Should Know Where I'm Coming From'

I heard this song years ago on a show called “Red Band Society”. I fell in love with it, and I’ve loved it ever sense. Banks has such beautiful and passionate vocals and the song is just beautiful. I love dancing to it!

2. Sleeping At Last - 'One'

I love Sleeping at last. I actually became a HUGE fan of their work because of Greys Anatomy. I heard this song on an episode and I went on a sleeping at last rampage haha. I started listening to all their music and to this day I’m still in love. It’s just so beautiful and delicate. The lyrics are great and meaningful too. Again, another song I love to dance to.

3. Summer Walker 'Drunk Dialing... LODT'

I’m a huge summer walker fan and out of all of her work, this song is my favorite. I’ve always LOVED this song, it’s just something about it!! I feel like so many women can relate to it. I also appreciate the little switch up in musicality halfway through the song as well.

4. Rascal Flatts - 'Bless The Broken Road'

I’ve listened to rascal flatts since I was a child. My dad and I used to blast his music in the car and we went to his concert together too! It was my second concert I had ever been to and it was amazing. This song just gives you so much hope romantically. This has been a favorite song of mine since I was like 4 years old. It never gets old.

5. Joel Corry/David Guetta/Bryson Tiller - 'What Would You Do?'

Alright this is a brand new song that I’m obsessed with! I absolutely love dancey/pop/ upbeat songs!! This is one of those songs you blast while you’re driving!! It just makes you happy and it makes you want to get up and dance!!
