5 Songs I Love w/ Psalm

Following the successful release of his track, 'Pathos'. Psalm has had a lot of attention with his latest track and we caught up with the rapper and asked him his five favourite track and why.

Rebekah Del Rio - Llorando

Mulholland Drive is amongst one of my favourite films ever. In it is an incredibly powerful scene where Rebekah Del Rio sings a Spanish cover of Roy Orbison’s Crying; its a real despairing and sorrowful moment. Incredibly beautiful, but equally as melancholy.

Tetsuya Shibata - Idol of “Time and Space”

I grew up playing a lot of video games but somehow I overlooked the Devil May Cry series. I met a homie of mine early last year and he put me onto this track from DMC4. I geek over any type of warm pad ambience, its music I think I have the most affinity for. It feels very personal. My homie told me that he’d sometimes listen to it to calm him down and now I’ll find myself doing the same thing.

This Mortal Coil - Song To The Siren

A cover of Tim Buckley’s Song To The Siren. Elizabeth Fraser is my mother. Ethereal queen. She bodied dis. Icon vibes.

Sonique - It Feels So Good

The nostalgia factor for me with this song is through the roof. When I was small I remember going with my mom to her friend’s parties, they played a lot of electronica- house & techno. Set It Off by Strafe or Better Off Alone by Alice DJ, shit like that. This music is like the only thing I have to soundtrack those memories as a youth that have been sleeping in my subconscious. It helps me clearly remember through the cloudy shit even more. The Donkey Kong 64 days. Pivotal times.

Ruff Ryders, Jadakiss - My Name Is Kiss

This song makes me feel like the hardest nigga in existence. Like, walking down the street with a limp, with some baggy ass Coogi jeans, holding my nuts type-beat. Sometimes you need that.

Make sure to listen to Psalm's the latest track 'Pathos':
