5 Songs We Love w/Ships Have Sailed

With their infectious new track "Take My Money," we wanted to get a better glimpse into the whimsical and fun mind of the duo from Ships Have Sailed and find out what music they love and find musical inspiration in. Check out their 5 songs they love now!

Chocolate by The 1975

Like many others, this was the song that introduced us to The 1975 and their sound...they've obviously released some great music since then, but the very laid-back, easy but precise vibe of this one never ceases to get my foot tapping.

Falling by HAIM

Love this tune and the pure musicianship that HAIM always brings to their music. Especially the bass groove on this one gets me every time!

Hate That You Know Me by Bleachers

Jack Antonoff has a way of really toeing the line between pop and alternative, modern and vintage without ever sacrificing the catchiest of hooks...it's a gift and we love it!

House in the Trees by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness

I just love Andrew and his writing...it's super specific, and yet so relatable at the same time. It's a really hard thing to do and yet it comes across so effortlessly, and this track specifically pulls in some 80s vibe in the production and really tugs at my heartstrings!

Cardiac Arrest by Bad Suns

This is another song that introduced me to the band, and I've always loved this one for that reason. Apart from simple nostalgia, the production on this track is impeccable in its simplicity. Every note and accent is meticulously thought out and the vocal is immaculate!
