Breaking through in the alternative scene in amongst a pool of bands is definitely hard, but Alexis Kings are gaining the reputation as prominent figures in the scene.
Alexis Kings, consisting of Brendan Aherne (Vocals) and Fabio Bocca (Drums), are music lovers first and foremost, and their listening endeavours have provided them inspirations to fuse and paint their own musical canvas. The result is alternative music fused with soul and pop, 'Sundaze' acting as a perfect demonstration of this. The track encapsulates a hazy Sunday vibe with euphoric choruses and a hint of sunny brass, showcasing the band’s rhythmic groove and penchant for melodies that’ll get you moving.
Talking about the new track, Alexis Kings share: “The song is about people being locked away in the pandemic away from the opposite sex, lustfully daydreaming. The lyrics tell a story of a guy sitting in a smoky room who scripts his thoughts. At the end of the day we all went through the same thing so we know many people will relate.”
