Baby Pink returns with the ebullient new single "Reckless"

Her upcoming EP Ego Sun, Fire Rising has been confirmed for a 27 November release.

Newham-based singer Baby Pink is back with the new single "Reckless", a forward-thinking R&B concoction produced by frequent collaborator Black Prince.

The song opens with muted chords and sensual vocals before erupting into a brassy, afro-bashment-inspired crescendo complete with an anthemic chorus. True to form, female empowerment is a central theme of the track, with the rising talent reminding listeners that she won't settle for a man that treats her anything less than she expects.

Coming as the second taste of her upcoming extended play Ego Sun, Fire Rising, the track showcases a different side to the East Londoner's skillset, with her weaving between singing and rapping to make for an enchanting dynamic range.

"Reckless" comes hot on the heels of Baby Pink's last single "Heartless", which we wrote about here last month. The full Ego Sun, Fire Rising EP drops 27 November.
