Following on from a vibrant array of delights in recent months, Berlin-based artist Diana Goldberg is back to her best once again to deliver her shimmering new single 'Je te déteste'.
Lifted from her upcoming new EP 'Tears Don't Fall In Space', which is out in November, 'Je te déteste' makes for a wonderfully rich and alluring return for her. With her spellbinding vocals layered across a progressive pop production throughout, she remains one of the more exciting names on the rise right now.
Speaking about the new offering, she said, “I came up with the melody for the chorus in my sleep during a power-nap and quickly managed to wake myself up from my dream and record a voice note.
"The song was inspired by a conversation I recently had with a close friend. She told me that her husband told her that he loves her in all the languages he speaks. So after I got my heart broken last year, I thought - ‘that’s fun, what if I tell him how much I hate him in all the languages I speak.’ That was pretty much the idea of the whole song and you can hear the outcome in the bridge in all four languages. Heartbreak is such a universal theme, and I want my music to be genreless, borderless, and touch as many people as I can - so I thought that was a perfect way to incorporate that into the track.”
