Combining cinematic strings with echoey vocals and tinkly keys, Chris D’Lima showcases his expert talents in new single ‘Dreams’.
With an acoustic feel and intimate lyrics, the track slowly builds to an emphatic chorus that will get you foot tapping in no time.
Singing on relatable topics, Chris D’Lima is unafraid to wear his heart on his sleeve, and provides a narrative of feeling lost in life and the importance of finding happiness over everything else.
Speaking about the new track, Chris D’Lima shares: “This song was written about 5 years ago, at a point in my life where I didn't know what I wanted or who I wanted to be. The song reflects my state of mind at the time, giving up on my dreams for the short term as I had lost hunger and motivation for everything and knew that I needed to step away from the pressure I put on myself to just figure out what makes me happy. I guess I'm still figuring that out.”
Having gained airtime on BBC Radio 6 and supported the likes of The Horrors and MJ Cole, Chris D’Lima has been steadily building his profile and fanbase, releasing songs that are meaningful and authentic.
Showing no signs of stopping, this is looking to be an exciting year for the rising talent.
