Glitter Etiquette releases hard-hitting new single “A Portrait of Arachne”

Glitter Etiquette are quickly rising up and out of the New York scene, crafting a sound that is now recognised globally. Their music has tinges of Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Psychedelic Furs, all executed with their own unique twist and identity. Their latest single “A Portrait of Arachne” showcases their ability to grow and develop with every opportunity, showcasing their development as a band.

“A Portrait of Arachne” is a single that is tinged with atmosphere, creating a somewhat welcome but unsettling feeling. A thrashing drum and bass partnership provides the perfect canvas for overdrive soaked guitars to create a My Bloody Valentine-esc wall of noise on top. Vocals land on top, softly-penned, raw and powerful.

Speaking about the release, they share: “We originally had the music from an old song I had from a previous band and Arie started reworking it and wrote new lyrics and vocal melodies, I also made some arrangement changes and we really liked how it turned out in the demos so we decided to go ahead and record it properly at 6/8 Studios in lower east side with Barnes as engineer. We are really happy with the result and can't wait to share it!”

Glitter Etiquette are currently recording two new singles that are soon to be released and they have a whole host of live shows coming up. The band are tight as a unit, having been performing and rehearsing together for a while; and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
