The LA-based, genre-defying, sensation Love Ghost is back with their emphatic new single ‘2YOUNG4U’ as they team up with Andie Gago to further push the boundaries of alternative rock. Building on a string of singles already this year, Love Ghost is showing zero signs of slowing down as they move from strength to strength in the rock music scene.
The track deals with love and loss as the lyrics provide an emphatic forefront for the record's haunting melodies and emotionally charged perspective on the complexities of young love. Kicking off with an enticing arpeggio, the track slowly creeps into life before bursting out with its melodically fuelled chorus and pounding rhythm. Not before long, Gago’s ethereal verse pours into the airwaves as a thing of beauty. The delivery of her lyrics, coupled with otherworldly harmonies provides something that still feels spiritually poignant, despite the language barrier.
Speaking about the release, and the process of collaboration, frontman Finnegan Bell explains: “I am a huge fan of Andie Gago, and writing with her was seamless even though she does not speak any English. We wanted to write about what it feels like when we are in love with someone who is impossible to be with... remembering that love that could have been but is no longer there”
