MIIA releases debut album ‘Huldra’

Norwegian artist MIIA has unveiled her debut album Huldra, an emotionally rich collection that blends alternative pop with Scandinavian mythology to tell a story of transformation, resilience, and self acceptance. Spanning thirteen tracks, the album presents her most expansive creative vision to date while showcasing the distinctive sound that has earned her a devoted international following.
Produced by Benjamin Dan Ravn Fahre and Joachim JR Rygg, Huldra combines pop, indie pop, dream pop, electronic pop, and Nordic influences into a cohesive listening experience. The album follows an emotional arc from vulnerability and heartbreak to confidence and healing, with standout moments including "Anything but a Heartbreak," "Necessary Evil," "Delicious," and the uplifting "I'm in Love with You."
The title references the mythical huldra, a mysterious forest spirit whose story has evolved over generations from cautionary tale to symbol of feminine strength and untamed nature. MIIA embraces that symbolism throughout the album, using it as a metaphor for reconnecting with the authentic parts of ourselves that are too often hidden beneath expectation and fear.
Following the global impact of her breakthrough single "Dynasty" and years of acclaimed releases, Huldra arrives as the defining project of MIIA's career so far.
