PREMIERE: IONE releases new single ‘Loved By You’
Ione is a singer-songwriter originating from Manchester UK. Her love of singing began in her church choir at the age of three, from where she progressed through classical vocal training and performances to sharing her gift with renowned professionals across the globe.
At just 14, Ione became a session singer and backing vocalist, displaying an outstanding vocal talent that earned her the opportunity to perform with the likes of GORILLAZ, Errol Brown (Hot Chocolate) and Paul Heaton. In 2007, Ione moved to London to further her career and was soon invited to join a European and American Tour as backing vocalist to singer Adam Green. She has also performed in the much-acclaimed "Haçienda Classical" and "Thriller live". Ione has recently lent her vocals to both of Foals 2019 albums, “Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost” parts 1 & 2, and “Foolish Loving Spaces” by Blossoms. She was also the vocal coordinator and backing vocalist for the much anticipated sold-out shows at Hackney Empire with Carl Barat & Pete Doherty of The Libertines.
After gaining much experience in the industry Ione has decided to pour her energy into her own music and her first offering this year was the July release of “Tell Me” which was heavily supported by BBC Introducing and was played on Radio 1 as selected by Mike Skinner for his Introducing selections.
Ione’s latest single 'Loved By You' is out tomorrow and we’re delighted to be premiering it. Ione’s love of pop and 90’s R&B shine through on this record with the catchy songwriting and throwback R&B. However Ione’s sultry tone is king on this record showing off her crystal clear vocals and range. The track is self-penned and produced by Tone Jonez with additional production by Gavin Holligan. Ione questions the sincerity of her love and ponders whether they are ready for more than a shallow connection with lines like “I don’t wanna be left alone baby all because you can’t swim out into depths unknown”.
Ione’s E.P the Tide is Changing will be released later this year.
