A lot of music's great legends have been shrouded in mystery. Daft Punk and Deadmau5 to name a few. Something compels audiences about having a riddle to solve and the latest act to add to your collection is the enigmatic maere with their latest release ‘Red Room’
On first listen you would think that ‘Red Room’ is a clean and incredibly well produced R&B number… which it is, however, maere brings added layers of talent within their vocal and lyrical ability and I believe that’s what really makes this track shine. Leaning more towards the experimental side of R&B maere can really relate to all the deep thinkers in the audience.
Luckily for fans of maere they won’t have to wait too long before more amazing music comes their way. maere are gearing up to release their new EP soon and I’m imagining we can expect more amazing music and maybe the mystery of this talented act will finally be solved.
