Following the release of DJ Sparadise's 'See U Again', Flex caught up with featured artist ANI to discover what influences her soaring vocal range and dance-pop delivery. If you enjoy ANI's picks, be sure to check out DJ Sparadise Feat. ANI ‘See U Again’ at the end of the article.
1. Mareux - The Perfect Girl
I love the dark and almost creepy atmosphere of this song. It has this eerie, hypnotic feeling that’s very detached from this world. It has this cold, mysterious feeling that makes me imagine walking around on a dark winter night. There’s something slightly creepy about the sound, but that’s exactly what makes it so addictive to me. The beat and overall atmosphere completely pull me into its own little world.
2. Rammstein - Sonne
I love how powerful and dramatic this song feels. It has something really dark and almost sinister about it, but somehow it’s still so beautiful and captivating at the same time. The heavy instrumental gives it this intimidating presence, and his deep, commanding vocals make everything feel even more intense. I especially love the way his voice blends with the heaviness of the instrumental and adds to that slightly unsettling atmosphere. It’s one of those songs that completely changes the mood the second it starts.
3. The Neighbourhood - Flawless
I think this song is just beautiful, especially the lyrics. It starts off feeling so romantic, but then it brings you back to reality with lines like “ I just can’t wait for love to destroy us.” I love that contrast because it makes the song feel more real. It doesn’t make love seem completely perfect or idealized, and I think that honesty is what makes the lyrics hit so much harder.
4. Needed Me-Rihanna
I genuinely love everything about this song. The production, the beat, Rihanna’s vocals, her delivery, the lyrics—everything works perfectly together. I especially love how dark and minimal the production feels while still having such a strong presence. Rihanna sounds so effortless and confident, which makes the lyrics hit even harder. It’s one of those songs where I wouldn’t change a single thing because every part of it adds to the overall feeling.
5. Dr. Dre - I Need A Doctor ft. Eminem, Skylar Grey
I’ve loved this song for so long that it honestly feels like a classic to me. What I love most is the story behind it and how much emotion you can actually hear throughout the song. I also love how the song builds up and gets more intense as it goes on. It’s one of those songs I can always come back to and it still hits the same every time.
