We sat down with Liquidfive after the release of hos stellar new tune 'Leave An Echo', to discuss what influences shaped his unique sound. Be sure to check out the single at the bottom and follow him on socials!

Kraftwerk – “The Robots”

This track was one of my first real encounters with the idea that music can be futuristic and timeless at the same time. Kraftwerk showed me how machines and human creativity can merge into something completely unique. “The Robots” in particular fascinated me because of its minimalism and precision, it’s almost hypnotic, yet it carries so much character. For me as a young drummer and later as a producer, it was an early reminder that rhythm and repetition can be incredibly powerful when combined with the right atmosphere. It definitely inspired my love for electronic sounds and pushed me to think beyond traditional instruments when creating music.

Michael Jackson – “Thriller”

“Thriller” showed me the power of music when it is truly brought to life with vision and performance. Watching this track in combination with its groundbreaking video was unforgettable for me and it proved that music is more than just sound, it’s an experience. The energy, the choreography, the storytelling, everything came together in a way that set new standards for pop culture. For me, “Thriller” is a milestone in modern pop music and a reminder of how powerful it can be when music is put into the right scene. It inspired me to always think about the bigger picture, not only the sound of a song, but also how it connects visually and emotionally with people.

Queen – “Who Wants to Live Forever”

This song has always touched me deeply, not only because of its message but because of Freddie Mercury’s voice. I’ve always been a huge fan of him, his solo performance and the way he carried Queen made the band truly legendary. In “Who Wants to Live Forever,” his vocals show how music can sound when emotion is pushed to the absolute limit. It’s dramatic, vulnerable, and powerful all at once. For me, Freddie Mercury is a constant inspiration: he reminds me that it’s not just about technique, but about how you make people feel with your voice and your music. That spirit has always influenced the way I approach my own songs.

Coldplay – “Fix You”

When “Fix You” was released, I realized how few artists can transport emotions the way Chris Martin does. His voice, combined with the simplicity and honesty of the song, really moved me. It made me aware that I always have to bring feelings and emotions into my own Music, because that’s what makes a song stay with people. The lyrics and the message behind “Fix You” also inspired me to connect my music with meaning, not just with sound. It showed me that the true power of music lies in its ability to heal, comfort, and give hope.

Swedish House Mafia – “Don’t You Worry Child”

This song was the turning point for me. Seeing the energy that Swedish House Mafia created on stage and the way “Don’t You Worry Child” connected with thousands of people in one moment was unforgettable. Their presence as a trio and the power of that track inspired me to start my own solo career as a DJ and producer. It showed me that electronic dance music is not just about beats, it’s about creating an experience that brings people together and makes them feel alive. That moment made me decide to dedicate myself fully to this path and live for making dance music.
