Alt-Pop artist RAEYA is back with her brilliant new single ‘Just Wanna Say’. Demonstrating RAEYA’s uncanny ability to create emotive, ambient and yet still thoroughly accessible pop music, RAEYA is certainly one to watch for the coming months.
Packed with creative flare and cinematic atmospherics ' Just Wanna Say' brings together elements of Electronica, Indie, Pop and even Folk effortlessly without sounding mismatched in any way. RAEYA's use of ambient synths and vocal samples is complimented by the subtle piano, sparse beats and picked guitar lines that build around her vocals.
Compared to Imogen Heap and The Japanese House the track also encompasses some of the same atmosphere as Taylor Swift’s recent Aaron Dessner produced album ‘Folklore’ but still retains it's own identity and style.
Speaking on the new single RAEYA said: “I wrote this song after going through a series of painful events over a span of several years and it felt like the pain and hard times would never end. This song was inspired by my story, and I wanted to write something that would give hope and encouragement to other people out there too.”
