Houston-based rock band Angry Joe and the Holy Socks have released their latest single 'I’ll Run Away', continuing the group’s blend of emotionally driven songwriting and atmospheric alternative rock.

Built around layered guitars, understated orchestral elements and a melodic vocal performance, the track leans into a reflective mood while maintaining a strong sense of momentum. The band draw influence from melodic rock and alternative pop traditions, shaping a sound that feels expansive without becoming overstated.

According to the group, the song was inspired by revisiting locations connected to difficult memories and the emotional tension tied to wanting distance from the past. That theme runs throughout the track, giving it a personal but relatable perspective.

Since emerging from the Houston music scene, Angry Joe and the Holy Socks have developed a reputation for combining honest songwriting with a strong community focus, including work supporting addiction recovery initiatives and local animal shelters.

The band continue to perform regularly, including their ongoing residency at Trilogy Brew on the third Saturday of each month.
