Austin-based indie artist Annabelle Chairlegs returns with 'Concrete Trees', a dreamlike and emotional journey through grief, memory, and the surreal comfort of connection beyond loss.
Written by frontwoman Lindsey Mackin as a tribute to her late friend Steph, the track blends washed-out surf tones with a bittersweet undercurrent, capturing the feeling of sprinting through New York City with a ghost in tow.
The accompanying video, directed by Pooneh Ghana, complements the song’s liminal feel, where the mundane and the magical briefly overlap. Following the acclaimed single 'Ice Cream On The Beach', 'Concrete Trees' cements Annabelle Chairlegs as a master of turning personal loss into evocative, shimmering alt-pop.
