Hamburg, Germany, many moons ago, was home to a thriving beat scene with hundreds of sixties acts proving their worth on the city's stages. Paving the way for the likes of the Beatles, the region has always had a bubbling musical underbelly - and it's no different in 2025. Blackbird Rebellion are the latest band to bring their anthemic brand of alt rock to the limelight as they unveil their new EP 'Expedient Means'.

Bringing the energy, power, and an irresistible sense of catharsis, the five-track offering sees the group take cues from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age and Pearl Jam to deliver a sound that is quite rightly hard-hitting and relentless. Crossing the floor of alt rock and grunge, armed with guitars and cutting melodies, the project stands its ground as an excitable body of work, the work of a band that is driven for more.
