Bonniesongs announces new album 'Strangest Feeling', shares playful new single 'Olive Oil'

Irish-born, Australia-based artist Bonniesongs (Bonnie Stewart) has announced her highly anticipated second album 'Strangest Feeling', due for release on 25 July via Impressed Recordings. Alongside the announcement, she shares vibrant new single 'Olive Oil', a sun-kissed ode to joy and simplicity.

Written during a stay in Wellington, New Zealand, 'Olive Oil' is infused with a carefree energy and a love for life’s small pleasures. “I had recently started a game with friends where we list our top 5 favourite things,” says Bonnie. “Olive oil, ocean, sunshine – things that bring me joy. I wanted a happy, light-hearted song.”

Inspired by 90s Americana and Deerhunter’s 'Never Stops', 'Olive Oil' showcases a more upbeat, playful side of Bonniesongs, offering a glimpse into the broader sonic world of 'Strangest Feeling', a dreamy yet grounded blend of ethereal grunge, art-folk, psychedelia, and lo-fi pop.
