Bonniesongs unveils title track 'Strangest Feeling' ahead of new album release

Irish-born, Australian-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Bonniesongs (Bonnie Stewart) has shared her lush new single 'Strangest Feeling', the title track from her forthcoming sophomore album, set to arrive 25 July via Impressed Recordings.

Described by Bonnie as “maybe my only classic love song,” the track beautifully captures the joy of deep connection while subtly acknowledging the fear of loss that often accompanies love. “It’s a happy song, celebrating love and connection whilst also highlighting the inevitable future heartache,” she shares.

'Strangest Feeling' has already made waves, earning a semifinalist spot in the International Songwriting Competition 2024 in both the Album Alternative and Unsigned categories. Notably, it’s one of the few songs on the album recorded live with her band, including a chorus melody that Bonnie humorously admits she sang “wrong” but kept because the take felt so right.

The accompanying video, directed by Nick Mckk, is a trippy, dreamlike journey through wormholes, forests, and surreal puppet-filled scenes, perfectly mirroring the song’s ethereal edge.
