Los Angeles funk collective Brassroots District have dropped their new single 'Aim High' via For The People Records, setting the stage for their long-awaited debut album, arriving January 29. The release comes as the band prepares for an extended residency at Jewel’s Catch One in Koreatown, taking place February 7, 13, 20, 28 and March 7, 14, 20, 28.

Featuring vibrant horn sections and a bassline built for packed dance floors, the track showcases co-leads Ursa Major and Copper Jones in full call-and-response form. Its central message reflects the group’s signature blend of empowerment and groove.

The residency will celebrate both the single and the new album, released on the newly formed For The People Records.
