Carl Yeung returns with his fourth single 'Television Starboy', continuing a run that’s earned praise from BBC6 Music, BBC Radio Newcastle, and even a BBC2 primetime feature.

The track sees Carl channelling a fading Hollywood heartthrob, clinging to past fame and fearing VHS-basket obscurity. Think Alvvays-meets-Courtney Barnett: dreamy vocals, fuzzy guitars, and bittersweet nostalgia wrapped in indie charm.

“It started as a story about a washed-up actor I’d see often, but over time it became painfully personal,” Carl shares. “Turning 30, you start wondering if the dream is slipping away. So I wrapped those feelings in a blanket of shimmering guitars and humour.”

Despite its themes of fading relevance, the track is full of colour and promise. 'Television Starboy' sets the tone for Carl’s biggest year yet, with more singles and his debut EP still to come.
