Blending an array of sounds from hip-hop to electronic, and even alt pop, Cheesmore’s sound really stands out from the rest, and his new release ‘Your Room’ is no exception. Adding a dollop of UKG and glitchy elements, ‘Your Room’ is a unique track that really keeps listeners guessing. With the lyricism evoking the safety and incubation of a partner's room, Cheesmore’s lo-fi production really adds to the intimacy and candor of the words he sings.
Releasing his debut EP today, the double track release also features Cheesmore’s previously released track ‘Suffocating’, which turned notable heads upon release receiving support from Earmilk and 2FM.
The talent reveals, “These songs are about that sensation of emotional deja vu and the taxing effect it has on oneself and the people that they love… [They’re} about the feeling of being in awe of someone you love but never quite understanding how they could feel the same about you.”
