Fresh off the back of springs ‘I Don’t Need The Lord’, Diving Horse return with their second release of the year ‘Sometimes I Feel Like a Fool’. Making a name for themselves with their infectious post-punk grooves and off-the-cuff lyrics, the six piece are set to continue their tradition of danceable beats and irresistible hooks as they make their way into the summer.
Tapping into a Talking Heads-esque feel good energy, Diving Horse know how to cut their own groove as they fill the airwaves with their spirited synthesizers and lyricisims. Creating a vintage vibe throughout the single, the group take creative influence from Hot Chip and LCD Soundsystem and give them their own unique contemporary spin to create a unique sound. Captivating listeners with their clean production and compelling songwriting, ‘Sometimes I Feel Like a Fool’ is sure to leave a lasting impression in their hearts and minds.
Explaining the creative process involved with the track, the group share, “For this song, we wanted to write a song with a chorus you could sing along to, and ‘Sometimes I Feel Like a Fool’ is what came out. Musically, the song is inspired by the later works of Talking Heads, and lyrically, the song masks feeling like a fool under poppy rhythms. We hoped to tap into a universal feeling we all have and say, 'Don’t worry about it too much!”
