DLG. has become one of the most streamed artists in his field over the past 18 months and beyond. His influences span from Jungle to Glass Animals, and the result is a sporadically beautiful brand of pop-infused music that travels far and wide. He has already started 2023 with a bang, on the cusp of another project called where he is dropping two songs on the second day of every month.
The first instalment of this is 'DROWN IN YOU' and 'CLOSE ONE!', the former is very much in the mould of the two influences aforementioned, in this chilled, fun-filled and rhythmic song that is catchy and instantaneous to the ear. 'CLOSE ONE!' however is where DLG. really seems to come out of his shell. In the vein of Dayglow, he effortlessly creates a breezy summer time jam that is lighthearted and will have you clicking repeat in no time. DLG. seems to have all boxes ticked, and is set for his biggest year to date.
“This is the first installation of my "2 on 2" project, where I drop 2 songs on the second of the month. I want to experiment with dropping music consistently on the same date of each month. This way, people will know I have new music even without seeing a post or notification, much in the same way you know your favourite TV show airs on the same day each week.
