Eleri Ward has always existed somewhere between worlds, but on 'Will I Be The Sun', she sounds like she’s finally standing in her own centre of gravity.

From its opening moments, 'Will I Be The Sun' feels suspended in air. Layers of voice drift in and out, creating a sense of space that’s both intimate and expansive. There’s a theatricality to her delivery, but it never tips into excess. It feels purposeful, where each phrase carefully shaped and each breath placed with intent.

The production moves in gentle waves, rising and falling without ever fully breaking. There’s a sense of forward motion that mirrors the emotional undercurrent of the track. It never rushes toward a climax, choosing instead to build gradually, allowing the weight of the question at its core to settle in.

Vocally, she is captivating. Her tone carries a delicate clarity, but with an assurance that reveals itself slowly as the track unfolds. She navigates that balance between vulnerability and self-possession with remarkable control, making the performance feel both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Following her debut album 'Internal Rituals', which marked a turning inward, this release feels like a step outward. Here, she is building on what came before, expanding her world while remaining rooted in the emotional honesty that defines her work.

In 'Will I Be The Sun', Eleri Ward invites us to sit with the question, and in doing so, suggests that the act of asking might be where the real transformation begins.
