Rising Glasgow five-piece Rodeo Club return with “You,” a striking alt-rock single that blends atmospheric beauty with raw intensity. Serving as the first glimpse of their forthcoming EP Talking to the Stars (out July 25th), the track captures the band’s knack for fusing post-punk grit with cinematic soundscapes.

Frontwoman Lucy’s airy yet commanding vocals cut through layers of reverberating guitars and a thunderous rhythm section, delivering a performance that balances fragility with force. Lyrically, “You” reflects on finding safety and solace in another person after enduring hurt, a theme that resonates with both vulnerability and catharsis.

Musically, the band walk a fine line between urgency and patience. The dual guitars create dynamic tension, the rhythm section drives with power without overwhelming, and the result is a sound that feels both expansive and deeply personal. Drawing inspiration from Fontaines D.C. and Mogwai while forging their own identity, Rodeo Club offer a track that feels equally at home in quiet introspection as it does reverberating through a packed venue.

With “You,” Rodeo Club reaffirm their status as one of Scotland’s most exciting emerging acts — a band capable of marrying emotional depth with a fearless, full-bodied alt-rock sound.
