Canadian alt-pop artist Housewife, the moniker of Brighid Fry, is back with her poignant and powerful new single 'Divorce'. Following the success of her highly-praised track 'Life Of The Party' earlier this year, 'Divorce' showcases Housewife’s signature blend of effervescent alt-pop with a deeply personal narrative edge.
On 'Divorce', Housewife delves into the aftermath of heartbreak with unflinching vulnerability. “It’s about not only mourning the person and the relationship but also the life you were building together,” Fry explains. “It’s about starting to rebuild and navigating the balance between protecting yourself and avoiding animosity with someone who has hurt you.” Written in just half an hour, 'Divorce' marks a departure in her creative process, as she co-produced the track with Hans Li over the course of a month in his bedroom studio—a return to co-producing that Fry is particularly excited about.
