--

Hey SIMMY, welcome to FLEX! How are you doing?

I’m good. Still trying to make life make sense, thanks for asking :)

What inspired you to transition from a potential football career in Italy to pursuing music in South London?

I’d prefer not to answer this question if that’s ok. I don’t want to be tied to this narrative as it's such a small part of my story. Football is part of my life but it's not a key part of my identity.

Congratulations on your new single 'EASYSTAR'! Can you share the inspiration behind it and the emotions you wanted to convey?

Thank you! Appreciate the love!

For me music is really personal and (at least I’d like to think) I live music differently from most. It's a therapy channel for me. To get to this point of “creation” it took a lot of chaos, unpredictability and uncertainty. I think Easystar is a glimpse of that chaos,

How did your previous collaboration with Greentea Peng and Kid Cruise on 'Free My People' influence your approach to creating music?

Kid Cruise and I have been friends and collaborators for a long time. We brought the way we work together to Free My People and it blended well with the Greentea world. Easystar is another example of this way of working.

What can listeners expect from your upcoming second EP, 'HELLO WORLD'?

A lot of experimentation with different sounds and genres. The project is about me looking at the world as if from outside, like an extraterrestrial being or something. You know when you pass through somewhere and you see a house that looks cosy, and you stop to look through the window. From outside you can only glimpse fragments of what's going on inside. It’s like that. I’m trying to see if I can still relate.

How would you describe your creative process when crafting 'EASYSTAR'?

A lot of it is down to the day and how I’m feeling. It all depends on the melody in my head, the emotions I’m feeling, the experiences that are present in that moment . . . I work in a very personal and spontaneous way.

What do you hope listeners take away from the diverse sounds in your songs, particularly in "EASYSTAR"

If the listeners take away anything that feels good or useful to them then I’m grateful. For me, it's as simple as that.

How do you channel personal experiences into your songwriting, and what do you hope listeners gain from connecting with your music?

It’s all about making a connection. If I can express something sonically that makes sense, and if somebody listening can make sense of that, then I’m super happy.

How has being part of Bath House Records influenced your artistic growth and career trajectory?

It's been an amazing journey. It’s a privilege to share space with so many talented people who live and breathe music like I do, to draw inspiration from each other, to work together and contribute to each other’s projects . . . I’m very grateful for the group I have.

And finally, what message or feeling do you hope listeners experience when they hear 'EASYSTAR'?

A connection!
