'Reruns' captures the point where staying in stops feeling comfortable and starts feeling like a loop. Entirely written, composed and produced by the artist herself, this new Jamythyst single takes that feeling of being stuck in routine and turns it into a colourful electronic pop track about wanting someone to provide a reason to break out of it.

Here, she's staring out of the window, watching reruns, half-distracted by unfinished thoughts and waiting for something to interrupt the repetition. The central plea of "Give me one good excuse / To put on my dancing shoes" says everything the song needs to say, and that directness gives 'Reruns' its glossy charm.

Jamythyst's broader sound draws from several eras of electronic and pop music, from 80s nostalgia through to more contemporary production, and that range suits a track built around escapism. The song feels rooted in familiar pop instincts without becoming overly tied to one decade or aesthetic.

There's also a nice tension between the lyrics and the energy implied by the project's tone. The words describe inertia, boredom and fractured attention, but the song itself points towards movement. It's a strong contrast turns 'Reruns' into something more uplifting than its premise might suggest.

As the second single released through Hitmint Music, 'Reruns' continues to establish Jamythyst's identity around nostalgia, personality and electronic pop built for escape.
