Slough-based songwriter Kendow has released “Lionesses Of England”, a dance-pop single inspired by the England women’s national football team.

The track was written in response to Kendow’s admiration for the players’ commitment to the game and the growing audience surrounding women’s football.

Built around keyboards, guitar, programmed drums and vocals, the song takes a direct and celebratory approach, focusing on the energy and enthusiasm associated with supporting the national side.

For Kendow, music is a personal creative outlet as well as a long-term ambition. Based in Slough, Berkshire, he spends much of his time outside work writing songs and developing new material.

“Lionesses Of England” will not be his only release connected to the women’s game. Kendow is already preparing a follow-up track titled “England Women Come Together”, which is expected to arrive in the coming months.
