Los Angeles-based pop artist KENTON has released a stripped-back acoustic version and official music video for his deeply personal track 'Without You'. Taken from his debut album 'Sweetmouth', the song explores themes of anticipatory grief, reconciliation, and the quiet ache of losing someone before they’re fully gone.
Written in the aftermath of his father’s stroke in 2022, 'Without You' reflects on a complicated relationship transformed by forgiveness and time. Once a devoted piano teacher, KENTON’s father can no longer play, a loss that inspired the artist to confront his own buried emotions, including the pain of growing up as an LGBT person in a household that struggled to accept him.
Both the acoustic track and accompanying video capture the raw, emotional heart of 'Without You', inviting listeners into a moment of catharsis and compassion.
