Working alongside prestigious producers Baby Got Beatz and Made By Blackburn, the track adopts a dainty acoustic riff that allows his striking vocals to take centre stage. Surrendering his signature R&B and hip-hop meets Latin sound for something that displays his diverse array of talent, he has struck gold with ‘Bad Boys Cry’, and spreads an important message to his ever-growing fanbase that it is okay to express yourself, describing it as “Ed Sheeran meets Kid Laroi, a ballad for the Gen Z”.
Born into a family of musicians, Kid Riz was always destined to follow suit. Discovering a love for Bruno Mars, Kanye West and Drake at the age of 14, he explored his style and honed his craft, taking a break between high school and college to focus on making his passion a full time career. A fiercely determined musician, he has already begun to establish himself as a one to watch, having racked up support slots for the likes of Rich Da Kid and Flip Dinero, as well as a slot at Montreal’s biggest hip-hop festival Metro Metro.
Bursting with creativity and attitude, Kid Riz is a name you can expect to see everywhere this year.
