Lauren Minear returns with explosive new single, “Bullshit”, announcing new album, BOXING DAY, set to release this fall.

The Nashville-born, New York-based singer-songwriter draws from life experiences as a therapist and mother to craft lyric-focused tracks about the nuances of vulnerability, emotion, and self-recognition. "Bullshit" arrives off the back of her last single, "Lightweight" - which was just accpeted for Grammy consideration. Just this year, Minear was also invited to join the Recording Academy’s 2025 New Member Class, marking a wonderful new chapter for the artist.

“Bullshit” is a punchy, upbeat anthem – leading with the poignant storytelling and crisp vocals distinctive of Minear. “Bullshit” was born from a session Minear had with her own therapist, where she uncovered an underlying need to always tailor her narrative to both sides. Upon this discovery, her therapist suggested writing from a place of anger. “Bullshit” came to life the very next morning.

“These are feelings that I didn’t feel comfortable expressing for many years, and it feels great to finally get them heard,” Minear shares. “I think so much internal freedom comes from speaking your truth.”

Minear’s most recent album, Chasing Daylight was released independently, and was received with critical acclaim. With a rich history in music, it was clear from an early age that Minear was always meant to be a songwriter. Mentored by the likes of Steve Earle and George Marinelli at just 14, music has always been in her blood.

Teaming with Dan Weeks and Dan Barracuda on the early versions of “Bullshit”, the vision for Minear’s upcoming album clicked into place. BOXING DAY is set to release October 17th, with an album release show at Sugar Mouse in NYC.
