Loti is back with Gorimapa Gangsta, Vol. 2: Lotstar, a raw and unfiltered EP that digs into resilience, ambition, and the hustle of making it in Lagos. It’s a follow-up to his breakout Gorimapa Gangsta and feels like his most personal project yet.
The Lagos-born artist, real name Emelie Dan-Nwabueze, has been carving his lane since his 2020 debut Sins & Scenes. From viral moments like “Mainland” to moodier projects like Honeymoon Phase, he’s shown he’s not afraid to experiment. On Lotstar, he sharpens that energy with a mix of hard truths, gratitude, and straight-up survival stories.
The standout track is “Okirika,” a collaboration with rising talent taves. Built on a moody, rhythmic groove, the song plays out like a heart-to-heart gone wrong. Taves opens with lines about loyalty and disappointment, while Loti fires back with verses that cut to the bone: “Did you really love me or you loved that I could help?” It’s vulnerable, fiery, and easily the project’s emotional core.
Across the EP, Loti blends sharp lyricism with production that leaves room for his storytelling to shine. Instead of chasing glossy hooks, he leans into grit and atmosphere. That choice makes the record feel grounded and relatable, especially for anyone navigating setbacks while chasing their goals.
In the end, Loti delivers a project that proves why he’s one of Nigeria’s most fearless new voices. Gorimapa Gangsta, Vol. 2: Lotstar isn’t just about struggle, it’s about pushing through, and it leaves you rooting for him to win.
