Lowtones have absolutely nailed a mood with their new single ‘You’ve Got Me’.

It’s slick, groovy, and weirdly addictive—the kind of track that makes you want to sink deeper into the sofa at 1am with the lights off and a drink in hand.

There’s a proper swagger to this one. It opens with a bassline that struts rather than walks, laying down a rhythm that feels like it’s been piped straight out of a smoke-filled dive bar in 1977. Add in vocals that lean more “half-asleep crooner” than polished popstar, and you’ve got something strangely hypnotic.

“‘You’ve Got Me’ was written and produced in the basement of our shared house—everything was entirely done by us as a duo,” the band shares. “It captures a time of full creative freedom and late-night sessions that shaped a whole new sound for us.”

The production’s got a brilliant rough-around-the-edges charm to it, which makes perfect sense when you find out the whole thing was written and recorded in a basement. No big studios, no polished sheen—just two lads (Connor Berry and Flynn Hudson-Dean) experimenting until they hit gold. You can feel that DIY energy pulsing through the track, and it’s honestly refreshing.

There’s definitely DNA here from acts like Tame Impala, but it’s been filtered through a scruffier, more underground lens—more groove, less gloss. And the fact they’ve paired it with a video filmed in Sheffield’s Hallamshire Hotel and their own basement? Big respect. They’ve built an entire world around this track—and it feels authentic.

‘You’ve Got Me’ doesn’t shout for attention. It just leans in close, smirks, and dares you not to hit repeat. It’s sleaze-pop. It’s basement indie. It’s got bite, vibe, and rhythm. And it’s seriously good.
