Madrid-based dream-pop artist April June has unveiled her highly anticipated sophomore EP 'baby’s out of luck again'. This release is a captivating blend of storytelling and musical prowess, filled with the raw intensity that defines her unique artistry.

Leading the EP is the exhilarating up-tempo single 'carry you on my broken wings'. This washed-out track delves into the seductive underworld of Italian gangster movies, weaving a tale of passion, danger, and untamed desire. Inspired by iconic films like "The Sopranos" and "Goodfellas," April June describes the song as "an exploration of the tumultuous relationship between the protagonist and her dangerous male counterpart. Clad in a tuxedo, he exudes a sexy, enigmatic allure, navigating the shadows with one hand on her thigh and the other on a gun." The lyrics vividly portray a life where violence and passion intertwine, creating a haunting ode to a love that is both wild and sexy.

The track is also accompanied by a stunning new video, directed by Marco Braia. The video captures the song's retro film vibes and showcases April June's unruffled style. Speaking about the video, April June shares, “The music video draws heavily from the Giallo genre, with a particular nod to Italian film director Dario Argento. We shot this in Turin, a city where Argento made 'Profondo Rosso.' Thematically, I was inspired by the idea of creating a main character and a doppelgänger, a sort of 'real' self and a shadow self. Also, I was really excited to perform getting killed and be covered in blood on camera.”
