Mark Vennis & Different Place release alt-anthem 'The Beating of The Drum'

Mark Vennis & Different Place are back as they release their latest roaring effort, 'The Beating of The Drum'. With the outfit taking cues from the likes of The Clash and The Kinks in the process. Not backing down on the singles' riotous, though infectiously percussive backbone, the release sees the band really come into their own as a creative force. Coupling slick melodies, jagged guitars, and a raw, gritty delivery, 'The Banging of The Drum' is a track that stands its ground.

Speaking about the single, the band comments, “The Beating of the Drum is the first song from the album ‘Goodbye To All That’, about the relentless push to divide us, fall behind the flag, and get us to march blindly into wars.
