Following on from a huge reception in the Asian scene, and a bubbling popularity in the West, groundbreaking creative trio Mola Oddity unveil the English remix of their debut album ‘The Other Side of Hope’ and unveil the exciting new single ‘Marmalade Day’.
Breaking exciting new ground with its left-field approach to music-making, Mola Oddity brings an international set of flavours to the airwaves with their exciting blend of jazz, pop and dance to forge an album that feels just as exciting as it does unique.
With particular attention being paid to every aspect of the album, the album also sees the release of new single ‘Marmalade Day’ - inviting silky guitar chops alongside an explorative edge to display the vast sonic capabilities of the band.
Speaking about the project, the band dives in, “For Mola Oddity, the creative process always begins with the arrangement: the music comes first, followed by the expression that naturally grows from it. This album is a collective recollection of impactful moments drawn from daily readings, films, and social observations. At its core, the album explores the many dimensions of “hope.
Hope, in itself, holds the power to endure. Or perhaps, it exists because it is shaped by shadows, tears, absurdities, and fragments of brokenness—echoing the times we live in. Yet, despite it all, we must continue to yearn for hope. After all, if we are all souls who have chosen to return, then even the pain we once thought unbearable becomes something we can endure.”
