Icelandic experimental pop outfit múm return with their latest single 'Only Songbirds Have a Sweet Tooth', the second preview from their upcoming album 'History of Silence', due out September 19 via Morr Music.
True to its whimsical title, the track drifts through a landscape of glitched-out textures and dreamy melodies. Male and female vocals trade lines like they’re playing hide and seek, weaving in and out of bubbling digital artifacts and airy atmospherics, a sonic palette that feels both nostalgic and newly imagined.
The single follows the band’s long-awaited return and teases more of the delicate, fractured beauty múm is known for. Their upcoming North American tour kicks off September 16 in Philadelphia, winding through major cities before wrapping in Los Angeles on October 9, with a European tour slated for later this year.
