Belfast-based singer-songwriter Nathan O’Regan has released his new single 'Poetry In Motion', the third offering from his highly anticipated debut album 'Olive Branch', due September 18th via Zenith Cafe Records.
A sweeping, roots-driven track steeped in soul and Americana tradition, 'Poetry In Motion' was co-written during a writing trip to the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where O’Regan collaborated with renowned songwriters Brian Maher (Taylor Swift, Texas Hill) and James LeBlanc (Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill). The trio composed the song in the historic office of Fame founder Rick Hall, channelling the spirit of the studio’s rich musical past into a timeless new anthem.
“I remember hearing James play the riff and thinking, ‘That sounds like an old classic,’” says O’Regan. “James and Brian were halfway through the chorus before I’d even gotten back with the coffee. That day was pure magic.”
