Nick Cain has announced the release of his debut country album 'Singled Out', arriving June 12. The project introduces Cain’s approach to songwriting, shaped by a life built largely outside of the music industry.
Raised in rural Washington, his background informs the album’s perspective, with songs rooted in everyday experiences rather than broad, abstract themes. Before turning his focus to music, he spent years working across industries including real estate and hospitality, an experience that continues to influence his writing.
The lead single 'Stuck on You' offers an early look at the record. A reinterpretation of the well-known Motown track, Cain reworks it into a more stripped-back arrangement, blending its original melody with a relaxed country style.
'Singled Out' reflects a gradual path into music, shaped by live performance and consistent development rather than a traditional industry trajectory. The album presents a collection of songs that prioritise directness and familiarity, introducing Cain’s voice in a straightforward and unforced way.
