Hailing from Maryland, USA, Night Walks made their debut in 2022, quickly capturing the hearts and ears of listeners with their authentic alternative charm. What started as a casual way to hang out and play music evolved into a serious pursuit of passion. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen, the four-piece band have spent the past three years honing their sound to be uniquely theirs. Now with the release of their debut album on the horizon, they have released ‘Pressure’.
‘Pressure’ seamlessly blends elements of rock and indie-pop, creating a bold and captivating single. The choruses are fuelled by gritty guitar riffs and irresistible toplines, creating a stand out moment in Night Walks catalogue. Building momentum throughout the track, with sticky melodies, the track showcases Night Walk’s continued growth as songwriters.
Diving into the songwriting process behind the single, the band share, “It started with Sam (bass), who kinda embarked on a songwriting exercise after being inspired by this War on Drugs track, starting with a “dream,” then describing all this vivid imagery and emotion throughout the song. He sent that around and I (David, frontman) immediately remember getting inspired by it.” They continue, “The original demo is very different, but once we played it as a full band, it just exploded into this unique jam with everyone bringing their flavour to the track.”
