Unveiling her long-awaited debut album, Nire Bird is back with the release of her first collection of songs You Made Me Feel Not The Same. Producing a creative work that lands at the crossroads of electronica, disco-punk and hyperpop, the record is set to cement Nire Bird as a bold creative force of nature.
The album is a celebration of women, independence and taking back your own personal persona from the hands of patriarchy. Coupling left-field production with riotous grooves, the album stands its ground as a sensational offering - brimming with creeping reverbs and vibrant atmospheres. Cinematic in nature, ‘You Made Me Feel Not The Same’ showcases Nire Bird as a boundary-pushing creative force, bringing an intrinsic edge to music-making that feels equal parts fresh and unique.
Speaking about the single, Nire Bird comments, “I wanted to write songs exploring those old imprints and take back my own personal ‘Barbie’ persona and narrative. Mixed with the beauty and euphoria of estrogen, I wanted to channel the doll as an altar of feminine energy and not care for any push-back I was getting from people around me.”
