Osmunda Music turns inward on new EP 'Wrapped in Warmth'

There's an unhurried confidence to 'Wrapped in Warmth', the new seven-track EP from Osmunda Music. Throughout this new collection, Rebecca Trujillo-Vest builds around smaller shifts in perspective, moving through stillness, reflection and renewal with a sound that blends new age textures, ethereal pop and softly spiritual songwriting.

The title-track establishes that mood immediately, framing nature and escape as a way of shedding accumulated noise. From there, ‘It’s a Beautiful Place’ moves further inward, while ‘Tetrahedron’ offers one of the EP’s most distinctive moments. Recorded live in a single improvised take, it feels almost like a pause inside the EP, allowing atmosphere and instinct to take over.

Focus single ‘Truth and Light’ is similarly restrained. Spare and hymn-like, it treats breath, sunlight and stillness as enough to carry the song, giving the track a meditative quality without becoming overly abstract.

While the second half gradually feels more outward-facing. ‘Feel the Sun’ and ‘Vitamin D’ bring the natural world into sharper focus, with the latter contrasting that simplicity against the pressures of comparison and digital life. By the time ‘I’m Alive (Feel the Sunshine)’ closes the EP, the tone has shifted into something more openly celebratory.

That progression gives 'Wrapped in Warmth' a clear shape. It doesn't try to reinvent itself from track to track, but it does move with purpose, allowing each song to occupy a slightly different emotional space.

Gentle, immersive and consistently embracing, 'Wrapped in Warmth' succeeds by trusting quiet moments to carry real weight.
