Phoebe Hall releases infectious single ‘Sometimes’ alongside debut EP ‘Runaway’

Phoebe Hall has already received a warm reaction to her three already released singles, and she's now back to complete her E.P ‘Runaway’ with single ‘Sometimes.'

'Sometimes' is an irresistible single. Lo-fi drums hit through the mix whilst heartwarming guitar parts ebb and flow in between. Synths creep into the mix, creating a larger than life sound. Her vocals are expressive and will fully entice listeners in with her ear worm melodies and relatable, well-penned lyrics.

Revealing more about the new single, Phoebe shares: "We looked at a range of artists for inspiration on this EP and I curated a whole playlist which covered everything from beats I liked to general moods and feelings of songs. There was a lot of Holly Humberstone and Lorde playing during the process, and I think you can hear the influences of this edgy pop in the record.

I write about body dysmorphia, feelings of guilt and good and bad relationships which are all things that should be explored.

‘Sometimes’ is about wanting someone you know you can’t have. It’s about one moment you shared with them that you’ve now taken and romanticised a whole relationship and life with them in your head.”

2022 has been busy for Phoebe, having supported Larkins on their 4k+ capacity UK tour, playing the BBC Introducing Stage at Latitude Festival, All Points East and supporting Harry Strange at The Camden Assembly, London. She has also been frequently championed by BBC Introducing via Gemma Bradley, Jericho Keys and was also announced as one of the top 5 in the BBC Intro Live Lounge competition.

Phoebe is currently in the process of writing her next record for 2023.
