PREMIERE: Ten Eighty Trees transport us to new heights in latest single ‘Born Free’

Ten Eighty Trees are back to treat us with another sensational single this February. Having been releasing a sea of singles since 2018, Ten Eighty Trees are back with another certified banger set to liven up our lockdown living. Made up of Nathan Newton, Lewis Glaholm and Michael Mather, Ten Eighty Trees has blossomed out of the grey industrial outskirts of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and flourished into the fully realised rock outfit we hear today. Boasting a uniquely blended brand of rock, the band have performed alongside the likes of We Are Scientists, King No-One, AllUsInLove and The Virginmarys; Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) himself has exalted the exciting sound of this up and coming band. With twenty-thousand streams fuelling their Spotify feed already, it’s no doubt this upcoming single will secure their place in the rising star category.

Described as “a no nonsense shot of taught rock riffery to the senses” by the composers themselves, this hit is like an adrenaline shot straight through your headphones. Nathan Newton’s vocals stand front and centre in this demonstration of unfiltered skill, as his powerful vocal performance inaugurates this group as such an exciting act to rise the ranks this year. Both Michael Mather’s driving drums and Lewis Glaholm’s banging bass create a solid structural foundation for the intricate ear candy to be sprinkled over. It’s this attention to detail that inaugurates this group as such an exciting act to rise the ranks this year. So, whilst our freedom is somewhat limited at present, let Ten Eighty Trees teleport you to their limitless sonic universe.
