Ever since he first emerged, Boston-based producer R.M. Hendrix has been one of the more inventive names to operate in the scene. Spending much of the last decade developing a wonderfully rich and immersive trip-hop-inspired catalogue, he now looks to continue those atmospheric ideals on his wondrous new single 'Drugs'.
Arriving in the wake of his stunning studio album 'Blindur', which dropped earlier this year, his latest outing is a continuation of the progressive nature he has shown up until now. Taking strong cues from the likes of Portishead and Massive Attack throughout, 'Drugs' makes for a brilliantly powerful listen, brimming with captivating textures from start to finish.
Just a quick glance over his repertoire to date and it is clear that R.M. Hendrix is an artist that never looks to slow down or even repeat himself. With each new venture, he is finding and cultivating new aesthetics for himself, adding yet another vital layer to his already expansive musical evolution to date.
