Indie-rock quartet Night Walks have unveiled their debut album, 'Remember The Dawn', with a distinctly fresh sound that also harks back to the carefree indie tidal wave of the mid-2000s. Loaded with nine tracks that draw inspiration from The War On Drugs, Sam Fender, and The Cure, Night Walks shimmers with its guitar and synths, flirtations with brass lines, and tempered psychedelia.

Arrangements are bold, which is a must with a debut album, and is delivered on spectacularly. Whether it's the track opener, Midnight Avenue, which embraces the crooner-ship of Brandon Flowers, and the tenacity of Bruce Springsteen, the downtempo anthem Messages, which bookends the album's openers and closers. Vessel of Sound, the penultimate anthem, could quite as easily fit in Arctic Monkeys' The Car, or Dark Side Of The Moon.

Discussing their intent, “‘Remember The Dawn’ is our statement of purpose. In the 2 years since we recorded our first track for it (Midnight Avenue), we’ve transformed into a truly collaborative project – sharing both songwriting and singing duties between David, Shawn, and Sam," the band explains.

"We’ve honed in on a sound and style that is original and uniquely our own. It has been a long time coming for us, but we’re incredibly proud of the final product and excited to share it with the world.”

Made up of David French on vocals and guitar, Sam Hughes on bass and vocals, Alex Kohler on drums, and multi-instrumentalist Shawn Korkie on backing vocals, their arena rock sound was formed at a time when those venues shut up shop. Covid-19 and the resulting pandemic served as the creative breakthrough needed for David to find his band mates, and build a sound as bold as it is today.
